Saturday Surprise

The card I have to share today is made using Authentique Paper and a stamp from Verve's Plain Jane scripture collection. I thought it would be good to have some cards on hand for sickness or some encouragement. The card is a standard A2 size with a CTMH colonial white cardstock base. I used the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the sentiment shapes. They were cut at 2 1/2" and 2 1/4". The ink was Indian Corn Blue.
The inside sentiment is from CTMH's Card Chatter-Sympathy. I love that set!
I layered the B&T paper and sewed the edges and then added the banner with some stitching as well. The sheer ribbon was added with a button attached using glue dots.
On a personal note...I asked my son to help me update my profile pic for my blog and he loves his chickens so he thought a chicken in the picture would be pretty fun! I decided to scoop one of our black australorp's up and he was shocked because this particular breed is very scared and usually runs but I was fortunate she let me hold her. Gotta love these chickens:-)
Enjoy the weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
