Scrapbooking with Artiste!

Yesterday I participated in a Stop-n-Shop event and I wanted to be sure to show the great ideas of the new Cricut Artiste cartridge from Close To My Heart. Since I took a lot of high school senior pictures in the past few months I had a large selection of photos to choose from to copy this scrapbooking layout that was featured here on Jeanette Lynton's blog. I loved this lay-out as soon as I saw it and this photo worked great to duplicate the idea and show all the fun embellishments that the Cricut Artiste cartridge has to offer.
This photo is my son's friend "Dalton" so his mom really wanted a picture of him next to the sign of the city he was named after! So fun!
The base cardstock is CTMH whisper, with a layer of CTMH lagoon cardstock and then black and honey cardstock. The arrow was cut from CTMH Ruby cardstock.
The stamp set is called School is Here from CTMH (B1407 $9.95) I stamped the apple image in Honey ink and the "heart" school was stamped in CTMH White Daisy ink (which takes a little while to dry but the results are stunning!) I think it looks like chalk on a chalkboard! I did not sew the edges, instead I used the stamp set Stitched Together which works amazingly for creating a sewn border look on your cards of lay-outs!
Here's a few pictures of my stand at the Stop-n-Shop:

It was a pretty small crowd but you never know who might later become a customer because they saw you at an event like this.
Thanks for stopping by!
