Birthday Wishes & Bonus recipe for Molasses Cookies

Birthday card using the Artiste Cricut cartridge from Close To My Heart. These cards are simple to make with the Cricut! Add some paper pieces to one side, sew a square on the remaining space and mount the "B" with 3-D tape. I added some flowers and a sentiment. I enjoy using the bold color of "Lagoon" from CTMH! The small amount of ribbon added just the right touch of brown. Paper used is from the CTMH Stella collection, cocoa cardstock and colonial white.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the weekend! Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Perhaps you'd like an awesome recipe for Molasses Cookies?
Here ya go:

Soft Molasses Cookies:

2 eggs
4 c. flour

Additional sugar to roll the dough balls into before baking.

In large mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugar until fluffy. Beat in molasses and eggs. Set aside. Combine flour, salt, soda, ginger, cloves and cinnamon. Add to creamed mixture. Roll dough into large balls and then in the sugar. Place balls onto slightly greased cookie sheet (I haven't greased mine) and bake for 11 minutes at 350 degrees. Don't overbake and enjoy the deliciousness!!!!
