Card making with the Cricut is so fun and easy! I created a card very similar to this one a few posts back but I chose to use a flower cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge. It is fast and easy and using a quilling tool (which CTMH is releasing on August 1st) and some CTMH Liquid Glass the flower is a snap! I have an olive cardstock base with an overlay of stamped and sponged colonial white cardstock.
The Art Philosophy cartridge also has these beautiful leafy stems and cuts the tags perfectly every time! I used the stamp set Eclectic Edges for the frame and sponged olive ink around the edges. This frame was mounted with foam tape for dimension and the additional sheet of embossed olive cardstock was mounted to the card base.
The sentiments are from a Verve stamp set. Sadly, I had to mail this card off to the brother of a local evangelist that has spent his life doing the Lord's work and being very effective at his calling.
Lowell passed away this past Friday from Parkinson's disease, he had a stroke in the past and I truly believe it was from a broken heart because his wife of 55 years, Connie, died from cancer this past December and he missed her dearly after her passing. Can't wait to see them in Heaven one day! Thanks for stopping by!
