Fall Bounty

Yesterday I had to quit procrastinating. It was time to deal with some of the tomatoes that are growing in abundance in my garden. I tried a new recipe for homemade spaghetti sauce. You may click here to try it for yourself. I picked a 5 gallon bucket of tomatoes which was approx. 25 pounds, like the recipe called for.

It turned out runnier than my family likes, but I plan to add a thickener when I reheat it for later. Gotta love fresh vegetables for later use! Here's the finished product. Happy canning!
