All the paper came from the Cruisin' paper pack, including the fun road map B&T paper, cranberry cardstock and grey wool. I used 3 different embossing folders with my Big Shot for the strips of cardstock and the star. The scalloped circle was a Nestability with the patterned paper circle being cut at 2 1/4". The sentiment was from the CTMH February Stamp of the Month set called "Thoughtful Tidings". The ribbon I used was made from Baker's Twine Neutral Asst.
The inside verse came from Verve Stamps and a CTMH set called Say It In Style.
I also created a Mojo sketch for last Monday's challenge but never got it entered:-(
I chose a colonial white cardstock base with some B&T paper from Authentique and I used the stamp set Blue Ribbon from CTMH.
This card was made as a Thank you for a custom upholsterer named Fred Larson. We hired him to recover our 20+ year old sectional and he did an amazing job! This stamp set was worded perfectly for his good work!
Here's a photo of our old sectional before his work....
Our dog, Buddy, whom we've had for almost 13 years has lived on this couch his entire life and he loves to lay on the back of the cushions (therefore wrecking them) and with our 3 boys growing up with this couch, it's lived a good life
Now for the completed new look....I just love the full cushions and fresh look:
We're hoping for another 20 years of use!
Hope you're having a fabulous Monday! Thanks for stopping by!
Wow! The couch looks great. We've had our furniture for 3 years and it looks terrible thanks to 2 crazy kids. :) Oh, and your cards look lovely, as always!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliments, Casandra! Sorry to hear your furniture isn't holding-up. Kids definitely are rough on things....gotta love 'em though!
