For today's post I have a fun friendship card. I love using banners and pennants with my cards. This card has a colonial white base with a very heavy chocolate brown cardstock strip and the B&T paper is from the Loyal Collection by Authentique Paper. I used a retired CTMH stamp set called "Hot Diggity". It's a fun, whimsical set that worked well with this paper.
The tag was cut using the Art Philosophy cartridge and my Cricut. The banner was cut from CTMH's Twilight cardstock and then run through the Big Shot with an embossing folder from Quick Kutz. I free-hand cut the pennants, flowers and frog. My sewing machine added the stitching around the edge and I sewed the pennants together with crochet thread. Brown brads were added to the flower centers and then attached with 3-D foam tape. A chocolate sheer bow with button finished it off. Hope you're having a wonderful Tuesday!
Adorable card. Wish I'd bought that set before it retired. :)
ReplyDeleteI just got this retired set from a CTMH consultant. I'm sure you can still find it from someone. I really like it too!
DeleteI LOVE this card! It is so stinkin' cute.
