Deconstructing Jen Sketch #90

I do enjoy sketches and this week's sketch looks like this:
My card measures 5" x 5" and looks like this:
I started with a Kraft cardstock base measuring 5" x 5", then added a layer of CTMH Outdoor Denim and the NEW CTMH "Later Sk8r" paper which has bold fun colors! Each layer was sewn with my sewing machine and the edges were distressed using the CTMH Edge Distresser. The stamp sets I used are called "Fast and Furious" and "Joyful Birthday" both new sets from Close To My Heart!
I love the gear shapes that can be cut using the Artiste cartridge and my Cricut machine....it adds a fun style. The baker's thread Harvest Assortment from CTMH also matches perfectly with this paper pack.
The stars were cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge and then I put them through a small paper crimper for more dimension.

Deconstructed Sketch No. 88

I'm going back in time to use more of the Deconstructing Jen sketches. Here's the sketch:

I used a 5" circle card with the new CTMH "Tommy" paper collection & the coordinating Workshop on the Go stamp set & Sail Away set:
The ink I used is CTMH Outdoor Denim, Honey & Cranberry with the new coordinating Chevron Ribbon.

Deconstructing Jen No. 86

It's so inspiring to use sketches when you create a card. I haven't done a sketch from the website Deconstructing Jen for quite some time and I really like some of the sketches they have so I created a card using this sketch:
The black cardstock base measures 5" x 5". I layered some designer paper from a hobby store paper pad that I purchased last year.
The circles were cut in varying sizes and the butterflies were cut using an SU embosslit die:
I used the fun "Joyful Birthday" stamp set from Close to My Heart and on the inside I used a sentiment from the set "For Every Occasion"
The Licorice Opaque Gems work perfectly for the butterfly bodies and additional embellishing:
The CTMH Burlap Ribbon adds a unique touch to this card with the black button sewn in the middle:

School Rocks Card

Here's my entry to the Deconstructing Jen sketch #33. It’s the first week of the month so that means they are sponsored this week! Their fantastic sponsor is Scrapping Great Deals and they have very graciously offered a $25.00 gift certificate to the winner! How awesome is that?? My card features the super cute set from CTMH called "School Rocks" (B1396 $9.95).
The card base is made from Kraft cardstock, also CTMH (Z1375 $9.50 for 24 sheets).
The B&T paper is from the Typeset Level 2 Paper Packet (X7139B $9.95) along with vineyard berry, black, & colonial white cardstock. The stars & flourishes were cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge and my Cricut, then I ran them through my paper crimper. The bow is black & white baker's twine (purchased at Hobby Lobby). The scalloped strip was run through the Big Shot with a zigzag patterned embossing folder. and buttons were added with glue dots. One of the great things about the new background & texture paper from CTMH is that it comes with a designer strip to be cut off and used as a border and that is where the alphabet strip came from. It worked perfectly with this card! Thanks for looking!
