CTMH Card Swap

My upline invited other CTMH consultants to join a card swap using all the new paper packs from the upcoming Spring/Summer 2013 Idea Book. Each consultant chose a paper pack and designed 3 cards from this pack and the coordinating stamp sets. I chose the new Tommy paper packet that is a nautical-themed paper pack with bold, bright colors.

Here's one of my cards:

I used the Artiste Cricut cartridge from CTMH and cut this card at 5 1/4". I decided to go with a graduation theme and used the new stamp sets: C1546 Tommy Workshop on the Go and the new Congrats Grauduate set that is only priced at $6.95 (fantastic bargain)!

This card has a gift card pocket that you can use for a sentiment or a gift card for your special graduate!

Tri-Shutter Christmas Card

CTMH Cricut-made flowers make such beautiful cards and this Christmas card shows this very well.

I cut the flowers using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge along with the leaves. I scored the leaves and then sanded the edges for more dimension.

I used the B&T paper from CTMH called Pear & Partridge. It's a beautiful paper pack with reds, greens and neutral colors.

Hello Card

The New Cricut Artiste cartridge really has broadened our creative abilities for making the coolest paper crafting projects. This card is cut and then layered together to create a pop-out "hello" card. It was fun to make and you can get as creative as you want with the front of the card.

I chose to create a pumpkin by cutting 3 ovals using the Artiste cartridge set at 1 1/2" and then I layered the 3 ovals together to create my pumpkin. The leaves and swirly-things were also cut with the Artiste cartridge. Since CTMH My Acrylix stamps allow for bending, I was able to curve the sentiment to match the oval. I love these stamps!

When the card opens the word hello pops-up! How fun is that?! I used Goldrush cardstock from CTMH and the B&T paper is called Dreamin' from CTMH (now retired). The inside strips are from CTMH Chocolate cardstock and the outside strip and brighter leaves are from CTMH Autumn Terracotta. Since the CTMH cardstock has the white core, I scored and then sanded the leaves. It just adds another fun dimension to the card. Thanks for stopping by!

A Very Merry Stamp Set

I love Christmas and everything that goes with that wonderful time of the year and this month's special is so much fun to stamp with! It's called "Very Merry Christmas."
I started my card with a CTMH Ruby cardstock base, stamped the ornament shape with ruby ink in a random pattern, then I added a cocoa strip of cardstock and a colonial white strip that was run through the Big Shot with a snowflake embossing folder.

The new CTMH Artiste cartridge cut this adorable tag and the Stamp of the Month has this sentiment that stamps perfectly onto my shape. I stamped the number in Cocoa ink again and then cut those numbers out and 3D mounted them onto the Ruby stamped numbers. I also cut an additional tag from cocoa cardstock 1/4" larger than my colonial white tag.

The ribbon is grosgrain 3097 from Wal-Mart and the opaques were added for extra dimension. If you love this card make sure you place your order before this special goes ends.

The inside sentiment combines 2 stamps to make this saying and the snowflakes were cut by the Cricut and my Artiste cartridge. Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Girl Card

Once again I used the new Cricut "Artiste" cartridge to create this birthday card.

I chose a CTMH Hollyhock cs base with colonial white and chocolate cardstock. The wording and flowers were cut with the Cricut and I cut the "Birthday Girl" phrase twice. Once with hollyhock and once in colonial white for the layering look that it creates. The banners were stamped from one of the stamp sets that are included with the Artiste cartridge.

The inside sentiment also is included in the Cricut "Artiste" package. It has wonderful choices in the stamp sets and the Artiste cartridge is full of 3-D projects and tons of other shapes for your paper crafting needs! With both cartridges (Art Philosophy and now Artiste) from CTMH I have so many options for paper crafting that I sometimes don't know where to start:-)

Simple as Pie!

The new "Artiste" cartridge is getting quite a work-out at my house. This is one of the many 3-D projects that can be created with this cartridge. I used desert sand and bamboo cardstock. The shape was cut at 6" (which is recommended in the Artiste guidebook). The sides of the pie box were stamped with desert sand ink and I used the NEW stamp set Jardin. The flower was created using the NEW stamp set Love Blooms.

I stamped the flower outline with cocoa ink and then stamped the color with smokey plum. The leaves were stamped with olive ink.

The ribbon is a sheer, wide olive-colored ribbon that I attached with several glue dots so I could create the loops and have them stay in place! The flower was layered by stamping the image 3 times and then hand-cutting it out by varying the sizes. Then I sprinkled glitter on the flower for fun. I added bitty sparkles on the top of the box and the sides have several larger sparkles for extra bling!

I used the Artiste cartridge to cut my doily-shaped image beneath the ribbon and flower. The tag was cut with this cartridge as well. The "celebrate" sentiment is from the set "American Celebration." This is going to be a special gift for my parent's friend's who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary a few months ago, but the party is next weekend. Fun with Dakota WOTG!

I absolutely fell in love with a card made my Alissa Chilton over 3 weeks ago. I couldn't wait to get the new Workshops on the Go® Dakota Scrapbooking Kit so I could CAS (copy a sketch) her card. So here's my almost-exact replication of her card ( I chose a different sentiment but same shape). I love this western-themed paper and the stamp set that goes with the WOTG is a perfect combination!

The stars are cut with the Art Philosophy cartridge and then stamped and scored so that it gives dimension to the stars. I used 3-D tape and glue dots to hold the stars in place. The ink was Pacifica & Barn Red on the stars. The sentiment was stamped using the NEW stamp set from CTMH called Casual Expressions and I'm sure this will become one of those "go-to" stamp sets. It has several options for greeting cards and they are all so cute! It also has many matching shapes for the New Artiste cartridge!

Mojo Monday #253

I was waiting for my new product from CTMH to arrive before entering my card in the Mojo Monday sketch. This week's sketch looks like this:

Here's my card with the new B&T paper called "Avonlea". It has muted green and brown tones with a pop of teal.

The stamped sentiment is from the new Cricut Artiste collection. This cartridge has 700 images and comes with an instructional guide to explain how to construct the 3-D projects. I love the stamp sets that come with this new cartridge. They are fun! The balloons, banner and inside sentiment are from one of these 3 sets.

I sewed the paper edges with my sewing machine and added hand-cut mini stars with sparkles. The ribbon is brown picot from a local hobby store.
